Decorate your front porch with style!

Front Porch Decorating Ideas

Why do you need decorating ideas for your front porch? A couple of reasons --Your front porch is the first thing visitors see. It makes the first impression and sets a tone for the rest of the house. The inside of your home could be the most gorgeous on the block, but if your front porch is sparse or barren that's what people will *think* the rest of your home looks like. Curb appeal makes a lasting impression.

What makes an inviting front porch?

Whether you have more of a stoop or entry way at your front door or a gorgeous wrap around porch, you can make it look inviting to your guests. Things like welcome mats Front Porch Decorating Ideas, door wreaths or swags and a vignette or two to show off your chosen style will go a long way towards making your guests feel at home.

Find out how easy decorating your porch can be when you start with one or two standards (furniture and lighting for example). Add a decorative pattern (depending on the season). Accent this with a pillow. And before you know it, your porch is the most inviting spot in the neighborhood.

At Distinctively Home Interiors, we carry a large variety of home and patrio decor to make your front porch pop!   Vases, Candle Holders, Patio Decor and that perfect throw pillow to name a few!

Decorate with Vases at Distinctively Home Interiors

Tulips, lilacs, and peonies are in season every spring in my backyard. After cutting a few fine specimens, I find myself searching for a beautiful vase to display them in. Up until now, I had not thought to decorate using beautiful vases in my home. I had my vases hidden away because they were rather drab and boring. Simple unadorned clear glass vases that only look nice when the flowers are added and even then no one notices the vase.

For me that is all about to change because I have decided that a vase can be a piece of art and a part of my interior design all on its own. Flowers will become optional and will only add to the beauty of my display.

Many of the lovely vases can be found online at http://www.distinctivelyhome.com. Visit our store in the Battle Ground Village.
